First Day First Show for a Ajith Kumar(Thale) movie is usually not easy as he is the undoubted "King of Openings", but we managed to make it to the "First Day Second Show" at 9:30pm in Pushpanjali theatre K.R.Puram.
Three of us Karthik, Karthik(alias Jayachandran-its my name at home) and Om reached the theatre at 9:20pm, Surprisingly we did not miss our Thale's entry scene thanks to Om. The start of the movie is a revisited song "Thale polla Varuma" to which Sameera shakes her hips to, "Man I swear she looks hot in some attires". The movie starts with the cast in France and the repeated footage of the Eiffel tower is to remind you of that time and again. Ajith has a double role with one role of a father having a life span of not more that 1o minutes and the other role of a Son is what carries the movie all along.
Ajith kumar Senior has three sons out of which Ajith Junior is a son of Ajith Seniors other wife and the remaining sons of the first wife. Ajith Junior's mother dies at a very early age and is asked to share space with his other brothers who apparently grow to dislike him and Ajith Junior grows up with his father being his only close relative. Ajith Senior runs a Arms deal and his 2 sons want to strike a illegal deal with a multinational arms dealer, which Ajith Senior and Junior oppose. This angers the brothers so much that one of them strangles his father Ajith Senior to death. Ajith Junior does not know this and made to believe that his father died a natural death. Ajith Junior is abonded by the other brothers and asked leave the house soon, which Ajith does in his most natural style.
But the Arms deal has landed the brothers into further trouble as a competing dealer was expecting this deal and this is where ex Lara Dutta Boyfriend Kelly Dorge comes in as the owner of this company , he in retaliation kidnaps the younger of the brother's anmely Vicky to Mumbai and threatens to kill him unless the arms deal is surrendered to him. This is where Ajith steps in and promises to rescue Vicky from Kelly and So heads to Mumbai.
There are lots of sequences in the movie where Ajith is smoking the Cigar and Sivaji productions has made sure that the message" Smoking is Injurious to health " appears time and again, But sorry to say that this was not understood by many hardcore Thale fans who started to dance in front of the screen and started to smoke while doing so only to be sent out by the theatre owners. I am not complaining after all all this craze is what makes Ajith the favouorite mass hero.
Prabhu introduces Yugi Sethu(Also the co-writer of this movie) to Ajith as a useless Don. Yugi does tickle some comedy to make the theatre burst into laugther, but its not him who took away the applause but "Bhavana" she looks cute and Sexy in her new avatar. I was shocked to see such Skin show from her but Neverthless She did justice to her.
Ajith's scene of quickly assembling a gun to shoot a black guy managed a good round of applause. My personnel favourite was the scene where Ajith and Vicky sit down and smoke out their Cigar and Vicky frustratedly asks Ajith as to whe always he gets so much attention (well actually If I guessed it right the character of Vicky referred to "Vijay" and being a Thale fan I had no complaints..:).
The movie ends up with both the brothers being killed and Yesteryear lover boy actor Suresh covering up the case as a case of internal jealousy and giving a clean chit to Ajith. My personnel lookouts in this movie are Thale Ajith's style which for the present day cannot be compared with anyone for the amount of mass he generates. Finally Bhavana looks cute and worth watching.
Thale ki Jai.(This is a commonly used slogan in theatres playing Ajith's movies)
Asal Score: 6/10
-4 becasue of
1.Bad Editing
2.Same old story line,
3.Ajith is a good actor , his role is not convincing enough to give him any scope of proving that.
4. There are 4 brilliant Villains in this movie and with very short roles to play. I would have advised 2 would have been sufficient with longer screen presence.
Disclaimer: 1.I am a hardcore Thale fan, so I may have praised at many occassions.
2.There may be many sentences which are not properly formed as per grammer , but please bare with me I am trying to improve on them.
