Praveen- Dancer, Founding Director of - Genesis Dance Academy

For Every breath that that he breathes, his soul shudders itself to another dance move, so is the importance of dance in his life. For more than 15 years now he has shadowed the Damsel of Dance through his academy called "Genesis" where he teaches and preaches the moving and shaking that this grandeur art form of human kind involves.

 From the free flowing Freestyle dance to the rhythm seeking Bollywood numbers, and from the pacing dances like Western, Contemporary, Liquid to the Romancing Salsa or even the eye boggling B-boying, Praveen has mastered nearly all forms that dance could offer, As a humbled disciple to the beauty of dance he has been spreading his exploitations over dance forms by passing on his dancing skills to the next generation through his dance academy Genesis. Praveen has also been conducting and participating in various competitive dance shows. He has been honored by various educational institutions to judge their competitions, some of the list include Shri Kumaran’s Public School, DPS, Valley School, Presidency School, St. Pauls School.

Praveen has always believed that dance must be allowed to evolve freely, away from the walls or boundaries of region, religion or culture. His active involvement in conducting workshops in and out of his home ground certifies his intentions for free and innovative conjunction between cultures to adapt, learn and create newer and challenging dance forms to take dancing to another level.

Praveen has been excited and humbled at the same time for having been invited to the IIDC, which he believes is a forum for all dancers where they could avail the opportunity to show case their skills and also learn and meet the numerous bunch of highly motivated and energetic dancers from across the boundaries.

Profile 1- Ravi Kalyan

To be titled as a “Master” amongst the dancing fraternity requires dedication, experience, innovativeness and very importantly commitment towards this art, Ravi is one such contender who has shown immense passion towards dance at such an early stage of his career. Starting from the Street Dancing Troops to performing at College Day elevating his stature to various Film Award ceremonies he has stepped up the dancing ladder with style and hard work.

With the dancing genes running in his veins, he is proud to have taken his ancestral treasure out of the family safe and into the open stage where he has proved his capabilities repeatedly in the form of performances at various high profile events with celebrities from the Tamil and Kannada film Industry. He has been actively pursuing his interests in the Cine field while assisting through his choreography skills in various Movies, Advertisements and Campaigns.

 Being with us (Genesis) for more than 3 years, compliments his attitude for staying focused towards his goals and to achieve greater laurels through the opportunities that Genesis beholds.  His bonding with the students and the respect he is credited with from fellow instructors is worth a mention.

Profile 2 – Rajesh

Who says that achievement comes with age? Rajesh has been dancing to his tunes even before his baby teeth gave way to new ones. His Mothers support has allowed him to focus and follow his passion throughout his childhood and even to this day, and valuing this support he has proved his capabilities through various dance competitions starting from his School up to his College and now at Genesis as an instructor.

Rajesh indebts himself for all the motivation that he has received for his dancing passion which has  provided him with the much needed energy that one requires to break away from the contemporary career seeking jobs and to become a Dance instructor.  Teaching batches of groups like Kids, juniors and Sub Juniors makes his time at Genesis worthwhile for the fun and learning that he is able to impart to the newbie’s in this passion filled art form.

At Genesis he is able to accomplish his dancing urge with learning and inspiration that he receives from fellow instructors and Master Praveen, while he dreams to be an inspiration to others through his skills.

Profile 3 – Kiran Alwyn

One of the most cherished beauties of life is when one can induce fun and laughter in someone else’s lives, being able to achieve this feat through teaching and performing dance is a trait that Kiran holds close to his heart.  Kiran has been Learning and Performing Dance from his childhood days without the help of any external support, which is near impossible if one does not understand the emotion and feelings that dance brings along.

Performing in various dance competitions through colleges, Tours and Events Kiran has lived and accomplished his passion towards dance and tested his limits to perfection.

At Genesis for nearly 3 years now, Kiran handles batches falling into the groups of Kids, juniors and Sub Juniors. With a personal inclination towards the innocent masked kids he enjoys every moment that brings joy to their parents.  Kiran has also ventured into other physical trainings like Aerobics and has been a worthy instructor at our Academy.

Profile 4 –Vinay Jayaram

Not Alone even when Alone, never does his mind wonder into the void self, so is the attachment of Dance to his soul. Every move of his follows the rhythm of a music that only he can listen to. The love for dance has pushed him to cross over all barriers that came on his way.  

From the T.V channel viewers to the almighty “Lord Ganesha” every one of those who have seen him dance know and identify him with nothing more than his dance. From the age of 15 Vinay has tapped his feet at every opportunity that could come his way, from Free Style to B-Boying he has loved to don the various forms of this art. Winning awards at functions could be a big thing to many, but to Vinay it is a now a routine to be credited for his performances.

At Genesis, for nearly a year, he has become an inseparable part of the Genesis family.  He teaches dance to all categories ranging from Kids to Juniors to the batch of Seniors who have all danced their muscles to this young man’s moves. The opportunities and fun at Genesis is something Vinay can never part from.

Profile 5 –Wahid

If Dance were to be completely moved out of our motherly planet to some distant solar system Wahid would be the first in line to pack his bags to move out in pursuit of Dance.  In his hometown of Talacheri , every Function or Ceremony that raises the musical decibels  will find company in the form of  Wahid’s dance moves to compliment and entertain the audience at the  occasion. Coming from a background of non dancers, his family has accepted his craze for dance as something that makes them proud.

Wahid has been a part of various dance groups, one such band that Wahid and his dance fanatic friends found was the “Bacton Boys”. His “Moon Walk” skill sweeps the floor and the minds of the audience watching him perform. His favorite dance form is B-Boying, which he loves to perform even in the absence of a dance floor.

Although a new entrant into the band of instructors at Genesis, Wahid just feels that he is at home with all the facilities and opportunities that Genesis provides to be close to his “first love” for dance.

Profile 6 –Madhoo

To make others dance with one’s own dance moves is something that brings joy to every Dance Instructor and Madhoo has been handling this character in the drama of Dance quiet efficiently. Madhoo has been dancing for more than 7 years now from his childhood to this day. Dance is a routine to his every day activities just like a daily cup of coffee.  Madhoo loves to innovate and create his own style of dancing and enjoys watching his own style at display.

Madhoo has been handling all batches at Genesis, Starting from Kids to the Seniors.  He fluently handles the different age groups of dance enthusiasts. His favorite style of dancing are Western, Contemporary style of dancing.

With knowledge of Aerobics, Madhoo has also been keeping his fitness quotient fresh by instructing Aerobics Classes at Genesis. An important part of Genesis group, he is someone that we can always trust and depend on.

Profile 7 –Mrunali

Emotion is a non detachable ingredient to every human’s life irrespective of the profession he/she chooses, Mrunali in her love for dance has understood and mastered this very important aspect of art form by beautifying her dance in every move with her supple emotions.  She has responsibly handled dance as a parallel to her academics and fared brilliantly in both facets of her interests.

Performing at various dance competitions and winning accolades has only increased her hunger to learn more of this art. Tapping her steps to Folk, Bollywood, Western Style and many more dance forms is an acknowledgement she carries for her passion towards dance.

Mrunali’s experience at Genesis as an Instructor is credited with her attitude to learn and adapt to the various techniques that are practiced and preached by her Senior Instructors.  As for the Kids batch at Genesis are concerned, her compassion and absolution allows her to be one amongst them.

Profile 8 –Saggarika

Dance is a form that involves various streams of Science starting from Physics, Biology, Aerodynamics and possibly some Chemistry too. Understanding Dance to these extremes and aspects is what Saggarika is all about. From the gracious eye coordination through Bharathnatyam to the upside down body balancing through B-Boying, or the neck sweeping steps of Salsa nothing in Dance has missed her appetite. Through Dance Saggarika lives a dream through that allows her to forget all the worldly complications and lets her be the something she cares nothing about.

Saggarika is a new entrant into the Skillful brigade of Instructors at Genesis, With her astounding ability to learn and perform any form of Dance step she has reached higher grounds within the academy in a very short span of time. Her originality in mastering dance has credited her with the responsibility of handling the esteemed “Special dancers” group at Genesis.

Profile 9 –Dayanand

“Genesis Dance Academy “ has earned its way to the top of the list in a Tech craving city like Bangalore in spite of all odds and jinx stamped on the dancing fraternity from the “Code Writing” community. Dayanand is a “character” that portrays the Managerial role of this institute with honesty, dedication and very importantly an attitude called respect  towards the Academy and its Management.

Managing an Institution like this with growing number of Branches and inductions into its Registers is not an easy task even for the experienced lot, but with Dayanand’s approach towards the whole institution and its activities has transformed him into a more like caretaker than just being a Manager of this beautiful child called “Genesis” that its Directors Master Praveen Kumar, Naina Praveen, Dhanrajan and Sumanth are so passionate about. Although not a Dancer, but his presence and watchful eyes of Genesis has made him capable of authoring a book into the various do’s and don’t do’s of Dance Industry.

Dayanand’s experience at Genesis has made him more confident in carrying out the day to day activities and responsibilities at Genesis.
